I'm Amy
Portrait photographer, world traveller, Cornwall native, and the person behind the camera at Lowen Media.
My story
From Penzance to Perth,
and back again.
I'm a portrait photographer based in Penzance, Cornwall. Born into a family of twelve and raised in the fresh, salty air, I discovered my love of photography at a young age, capturing the beautiful Cornish landscapes and my close friends and family.
My love of photography followed me around the world whilst working on cruise ships, where I thrived on photographing people from all sorts of cultures and backgrounds in the onboard studio.
After two years at sea, I landed in Perth, Australia, developing further in a portrait studio, capturing a huge range of characters and exploring the country before travelling onwards through New Zealand and back to my roots in England.

01, Authenticity
I'd rather catch one genuine laugh than a hundred perfect poses. The real stuff is always better, and you can't fake the in-between moments.
02, Connection
Before I ever pick up a camera, I get to know you. The better we connect, the better your photographs will be. Coming from a family of twelve helps.
03, Community
Cornwall is my home and I'm passionate about supporting local businesses, suppliers, and fellow creatives. Down here it really is all about who you know.
