Weddings

Your day, told
through quiet moments

Slow-paced, generous coverage. Full-day celebrations and the in-between moments that make your wedding feel like yours.

Slow-paced weddings

Real moments,
not staged ones.

I shoot weddings the way I see them. A series of small, unrepeatable moments strung together. The nervous laughter before the ceremony. The look on your partner's face when they first see you. The way your grandmother holds your hand.

I'll be with you from the getting-ready chaos to the last dance, working quietly and quickly so you barely notice I'm there. No stiff group lineups, no shouted directions. Just the day, as it actually happens.

How it works

A small number of weddings, each year.

01, A proper chat first

Before anything else we'll sit down (in person, on a call, over a cup of tea) and talk about your day. Who's there, where it is, what matters most to you.

02, Coverage that fits the day

Packages from a short half-day to twelve hours of coverage, including engagement shoots and an optional second photographer for the bigger celebrations.

03, Your gallery, properly

A private online gallery within a few weeks of the wedding, gently edited and ready to share. Albums and fine-art prints available if you'd like.

Wedding questions

The things couples usually ask.

How many weddings do you take on each year?

Only a small number. I'd rather give each couple proper attention than rush from one Saturday to the next, so the calendar fills up gently and well ahead. If you have a date in mind, do get in touch early; it's the only way I can promise I'm free.

Which parts of Cornwall do you cover, and will you travel?

West Cornwall is my home turf (Penzance, the Lizard, Land's End, the far western edge), and I know it well enough to plan around the light and the tide. That said, I happily travel for the right wedding, anywhere in Cornwall and beyond. Just tell me where you're getting married.

We're nervous in front of the camera. Is that a problem?

Not at all, and you're in good company. Most couples I meet say exactly the same thing. I work quietly and quickly, mostly from the edges of the day, so you barely notice I'm there. No stiff lineups, no shouted directions. The nerves tend to settle within the first half-hour.

Do you photograph the day candidly, or do you pose people?

Mostly as it actually happens. The in-between moments are where the real story lives. I'll gather everyone for a handful of relaxed family groups if you'd like them, but the rest of the day I spend keeping out of the way and letting it unfold.

When will we get our photographs?

Your private online gallery lands within a few weeks of the wedding, gently edited and ready to share. Fine-art albums and prints are there if you'd like them, but there's no pressure; the gallery is yours to keep either way.

Can we add an engagement shoot or a second photographer?

Yes to both. An engagement shoot comes included on the larger packages (and it's a lovely way to get comfortable with me before the day), and a second photographer is an easy add-on for bigger celebrations where two angles help.

How do we book, and what happens after we enquire?

We'll have a proper chat first (in person, on a call, or over a cup of tea) about your day, where it is, and what matters most to you. If it feels like a good fit, a booking fee holds your date and we take it from there.
